Reindeer News from Finnmark
A new reindeer husbandry law is before the Norwegian Parliament this week. Meanwhile, “Reindeer husbandry has damaged the biodiversity on the Finnmark plain”, according to Professor Reidar Elven of the Botanic Museum in Oslo. Hi claim was refuted by the leader of the Norwegian Sámi Reindeer Herders Association, Nils Henrik Sara.
